The contact owns a 2002 cosco designer 22.when the child safety seat is strapped in the vehicle, the seat leans to the right.the child seat was installed with a tether strap and seat belt.
The contact owns a cosco safety seat model (ic-021) travel system manufacturer date 02/13/2012. The contact stated while the child was strapped in the safety seat, the child fell out of the safety seat. The contact stated the straps did not properly secure the child. The child was not injured. The manufacturer was contacted.
The consumer indicated that the canopy on the car cannot be secured to snaps or velcro and as a result it falls into the child's face.
A client came to our office today to have a car seat installed by one of our certified technicians. The seat, a dorel (cosco) comfort infant carrier w/ base was defective. The metal bar on the base had become dislodged and would not allow the carrier to attach. Model # was 22-630-bal. Date of manufacture was 8/19/05. The seat was brand new, so i advised the client to return it to the store where it was purchased.
Dt:cosco model # 22-010-wal, the consumer stated child safety seat quit latching at the harness buckle.this started approximately three weeks ago.consumerfirst thought something may was caught in it.
Dt:coscoeddie bauer seat model # 01759, dom 05/08/2004. When putting seat in the base one of the tether straps keeps it from latching all the way. When putting in the car seat into the base the car seat does not lock properly. Had to force it by pulling back and forth to make sure its locked. Noticed this after she rode in this for about month around may 1,2005. Had to do this every timeputting tothe car seat in the car.consumercan hear it click. One side does lock, but the other side does not.
Dt: the contact stated the harness buckle release button fell apart when releasing the buckle. The red center push button popped out and the spring that aided the buckle assembly popped out as well. The manufacturer has not been contacted. No repairs have been made.
Dt: cosco model # 22-265-mac, dom 01/20/2004. Put child in the seat and the strap loosened and cameoff.the consumer call customer service but it was just an empty voice mailbox. Consumerbought another child safety seat.
Dt: consumer owns 2 similar cosco eddie bauer childs safety seats, andon both of these seats there isa loose snap on the springs. Itis cracked and popping through the metal spring of the handle that is attached to the seat.also, involves the front shield arm rest.no repairs to these seats was done. No recalls on these seats.
Dt: cosco model 22-180-wal , dom03-18-2003.the car seat bar popped out the holes. The bar broke completely off.this car seat will convert into a booster seat, but consumer's children were too small for that.the child seat was in the car when this happened.
Cosco model # 22300505, the consumer stated that her grand child's car seat was not holding him securely in the seat.the strapsdetached from the metal part behind the seat.the consumernoticed that sometimes when she put on the brakes the child was pushed forward.she reported this to the manufacturer, and they were sending her another set of straps.*sc
