This is a second submission for my complaint!my car seat has a major defect that needs to be recalled.the spring that allows the lumbar to raise and lower cracked through the plastic and came detached from the actual car seat.the car seat was in our second vehicle and i would estimate that it was used a total of 150 times.i still have the car seat and can forward pictures of the defect.actual model number is 02870ebg.
Consumer called complainingabout having problems with cosco model #02-880mbp, dom03-14-2002 child seat.upon the chest area the clip that holds the seat belt broke off. Manufacturer was not contacted at the time of this phone call.
The contact owns a cosco safety seat, model 02-880 ebn (na).the seat was manufactured on january 21, 2001.the contact attempted to buckle the child in the safety seat and the harness retainer clip failed.she stated that she cannot secure the child in the safety seat due to this failure.the manufacturer has not been notified.the purchase date, failure type, location in the vehicle, and secured in method were unknown.
