1 & 2) car seat/beat by costco converts from car seat w/ 5 point harness to booster.seat has seat belt guides stitched to it and the design of the belt guides pinches the seat belt and does not allow for free movement of the belt.if the child pulls the belt or leaned forward, the seat belt would not retract which could result in serious injury in the event of an accident.3) contacted manufacturer. And their customer service states (direct quote from an e-mail):"thank you for contacting dorel juvenile group consumer relations.we apologize for any delay in answering your email. I am sorry that you are not satisfied with your carseat.the belt positioners do not have to be used. They just position the strap across the child's shoulder.however, if you can send a copy of your receipt to 800 207 8182, i will send a proof of destruction letter.you will need to destroy the carseat and send a few pieces that i would request. Once i receive the items, i can offer a refund minus tax and 20% for each year you have used the seat.please put the fax to the attention of dorothy.
