Dt*: the contact stated upon initial inspection of a new infant seat, the level display provided an incorrect reading indicating the seat was uneven.the seat was moved from side to side and placed on the ground, but the level display continued to provide an incorrect position of that seat.the manufacturer was alerted.the child safety seat was a combi usa, model tyro thunder, # 8000-45, date of manufacture january 5, 2005
- the contact stated that the base of the combi tyro ii thunder safety seat slides back and fourth, no matter how tightly it is secured to the vehicle.the contact would like the car seat base to be repaired so that it does not slide back and fourth anymore.the contact stated that she likes the car seat and would like it to just work properly.
Tl- safety seat is a tyro omni model 8000-2. After pulling the front adjuster pull straps as tight as they would go it was still to loose for the infant age 3 days old. Weight 6lbs and 2oz, 25 inches. As a result the infants torso was not secured. Caller does not know the purchase date of the seat. Caller is not the owner of the seat but a nurse at the hospital. The contact owns a 2005 combi tyro ii thunder child restraint, model number 8220, and manufactured november 2, 2010. The contact stated that while driving, the shoulder strap detached from the metal harness plate. The child was no longer secured in the seat while the vehicle was in motion.the manufacturer was not contacted and the child seat was not repaired or replaced.
Harness for tyro thunder much to large to get secure fit on baby. Tyro thunder, model # 8000-45, date of manufacturer 12/01/04 (correct options not available from choices on forms). Family unable to use seat for baby. Complaint made on behalf of patient.
I bought a troy 2 infant car seat for my son in february 2007 and by may20 07 i noticed there was a black power on him whenever he was sitting in the seat.i tried cleaning out the seat , but the black powder kept coming out.i tried to contact combi the manufacturer, but could not ever get through to a live person. I believed this product wasunsafe because children tried to put anything they couldget in their hands ormouths.also, believe combiwastrying to avoid customer complaints by making it impossible to contact them with problems or concerns and that should be illegal.
