The design of the locking clip prevents the seatbelt from properly securing the child seat. It is difficult to secure the seat so there is less than an inch of movement along the seat belt path and when you move the seat, it gradually loosens the belt until it slips off the locking clip.

Carseat: combi shuttle33indigo model#8097110 mfgdate:10/14/09when installed into base, (all four points secure) car seat "wiggles" in base forwards and backwards.

I purchased a combi shuttle child seat in january 2008 and learned at the end of february that there was a recall on the seat because it could become separated from the base.the recall notice promised a retrofit kit within 6-8 weeks.it has already been 9 weeks and i was told by combi that it would be another 2 1/2 weeks minimum before the retrofit kit would arrive.the combi recall notice invited customers to file a complaint with nhtsa if combi was not able to timely resolve the issue.nearly 12 weeks to resolve the recall issue is not timely, particularly given that infant car seats are only usable for a short time before the baby outgrows the seat.
