Chicco changed their nextfit rear facing height limit without telling consumers. They have changed it in all versions of the manual online, and on their website and all printed manuals on new seats. They are saying it is retroactive and are not telling people! they lowered the limit from 49 inch to 43 inches. I firmly believe this is recall worthy.
We have a chicco car seat and the safety harness for the car seat release when pressure is placed on the straps. The release button for the straps seems to be stuck in the releases position. Even after being able to get the straps to lock again, applying pressure on the straps releases them. This could be huge safety concern as the force of a car is much greater than the force i have pulling on the straps, so i would be concerned if the straps would even work in a car accident.
