The car seat was installed in november of 2009 without any problems.on 4/30/2010, the owner came back to the inspection station and stated the seat was becoming loose.the owner stated her husband tried to re-secure the seat a couple of times, but was unable.upon looking at the chico keyfit (model#06079020990070), i noticed the lock-offs was severely bent and was not holdingthe seat-belt in place.i am not sure if the bending of the lock-offs were created by the owner or a defect of the plastic.in order to secure the seat, i used a locking clip, which corrected the problem.

The safety labels are coming off the "base" of my chicco key fit infant seat.these labels are not on the removable seat portion but the base which attaches to the latch system of the vehicle.i contacted chicco to get replacement labels since the base is permitted to be used through jan 2013 and they told me that they do replace labels due to the strict requirements of their application.the base was in the vehicle for 8 months with child #1 and has been in for 2 months with child #2.the issue has not been corrected due to the lack of responsiveness of the manufacturer chicco.

I have the chicco keyfit that was manufactured in september 2008 and it has a problem with the 5 point harness getting loose. When you tighten the harness down and the infant moves it will sometimes release and allow too much slack in the harness that you can put your hand between the baby and the harness. This has happened approximately 5 times in the last 10 days.

Chicco fit2 car seat appears to be locked into base, but i can hear a distinct click, the same click i get when i put the seat into the base. Contacted chicco and they said it was rattling, but the noise im hearing is not a rattle. Its a loud click. If the seat isn't actually locking into place, in an accident my daughter could be very hurt. Im going to discontinue use of the seat. This has happened on multiple occasions. Tt*

My child developed a rash which was diagnosed as eczema.the rash covered only the parts of her body that had touched the car seat fabric around her clothes (the back of her head, the back of her legs, and her arms).i took her to a dermatologist who had seen the same thing before and it was the car seat material.i bought a car seat cover to place over the manufacturers fabric and the problem went away.the same rash reappears when we use the stroller included in the travel system.there is no cover for that, so i bought a new stroller.i'm not sure if it is the material itself or something that the chicco company treated the car seat fabric.
