Car seat model 4709fox manufactured date 1999 03 10c

It is extremely easy for 12 month old baby to unfasten himself from the entire car seat restraint system.he regularly unbuckles himself while vehicle is in motion.this seat unsafe and needs to be recalled.

Consumer went to child seat check up point. They couldn't install car seat because it wasn't tight enough, according to instructions.

I am a registered cps technician, #t9852. I attempted to install a century smartmove 44709svr seat, manufacture date 6/6/01 into a vehicle. Base does not lock seat into a 45 degree angle in the rear facing position, the angle determination is on the base, not the seat, and cannot give indication of proper seat alignment since it checks the base angle and not the seat angle (which doesn't lock). The belt path for rear facing is on the seat, not the base, proper tension to hold the seat may force it from a 45 degree angle when tightened.

The car seat does not fit properly in any the owner's vehicles. Whenever the car turns left or right, the car seat tips over or falls to either side.

I removed my carseat cover to wash it and discovered that the straps that secure my child had both frayed halfway through at a point where they were hidden under the cover.had i not removed the cover and discovered this failure of the straps, they eventually could have torn all the way through and no longer protected my child.this carseat is a century smart moves 4710cft, manufacture date 19980306c, expiration date 12/04.century is now owned by graco. Graco "century" car seatmodel number: 44709svr serial number: 2002 01 12 we purchased this car seat for our daughter when she reached the appropriate weight.recently, when cleaning the seat and removing the cover, i noticed that the straps are cut at the point that they are threaded down into the base.i don't expect the product to last forever, but i do expect it to last through normal use with at least one child.our child had not outgrown the seat yet and was still using it.again, this is the long piece of "seat belt" material that is threaded through the chest strap and the two male buckle pieces.it threads through the bottom of the seat in one continuous piece.it was cut by the seat itself with no more than normal use.in my opinion, this is a defective design. *la
