Britax has been responsive to my concern and is going to provide me a replacement seat and i am required to return the faulty seat to them. I am grateful for thereplacement, however due to the several issues with my seat, especially where the seat does not stay attached to the reclining base portion, i feel the concern may be much morewidespread than my situation. No one was hurt in my situation if this fault is prevalent throughout the model the potential could be fatal. I have had the seat for less than a year. It has only been removed and re-installed in my car about 4 times. When i last installed it i noticed that the foam in the side of the headrest had completely broken loose and was being held in place by the fabric shell. For the most part it remained aligned and was still present, so i figured in the event of an accident it would still provide some protection and energy absorption, so i did not get too concerned. Then last week a piece of the left harness guard broke off, and this week the right side.if my small child, in his daily trip to day care and back, could manage to destroy the strap, how well could it protect in an accident. Then came my real concern and the reason for this report. When i removed the seat from my car to get the manufacturing data from it for the warranty, i noticed that the metal bar which should hold the seat shell to the reclining base portion had slipped sideways and no longer penetrated fully along the base. Thankfully i was not involved in a collision while the seat was in this clearly insecure condition. The bar does slide back into proper position, but there is nothing on the seat to ensure that the proper positioning is maintained. I feel this is a major design flaw and it should be addressed by the manufacturer. I have attached photos to better show the conditions i am describing.

The chest clip on our newly purchased britax pavilion 70-g3 separates with little to moderate force, without compressing the side clips.we feel this is incredibly dangerous, and would lead to the restraint failing in the event of a collision.

I purchased the britax pavilion 70-g3 convertible car seat seat in january of 2014.the seat was being sold with the "click tight" feature - which helps you know when the safety harness is tight.unfortunately, the click feature is flawed.if there is any sort of restraint against the safety straps, the click noise is made (but the belt still may be very loose).on multiple occasions i will pull the belt until it clicks, only to realize the belt is still very loose and unsafe.britax has not provided a remedy (other than to tell me to listen for 3 clicks) nor has given me any way to remove the "click" noise.i now know to not listen to the click and pull until there is no give.....by my husband still does not understand.

We bought a britax pavilion car seat in september of 2013. By march 2014 one of the hugs chest pads had broken in half and was no longer attached to the harness. The car seat is no longer safe because the chest clips slide around so we are unable to ensure that the clips are in the proper position. I called customer care at britax on march 17th and was told that there was a recall on the hugs chest pads and that britax would be sending replacement pads to my address free of charge. Nine days later i received a package from britax. When i opened the package i discovered that they had sent replacement chest clips and not the hugs chest pads which is the item that was broken and recalled. Britax has failed miserably at providing a remedy for the defective part within a reasonable time. Their incompetence means that we have been driving around our 17 month old child in an unsafe carseat for a week and a half, and now i'm going to have to call them again tomorrow and hope that they actually send the correct part and wait around another nine days or longer for it to arrive.if something horrible were to happen and we were involved in a car accident where our infant was injured or killed i would be filing a lawsuit against britax for not resolving this recall in a reasonable time frame.

The contact owns a britax pavilion 70 g3 rearfacing infant seat. The seat was manufactured in february of 2013. The safety seat was being utilized in a 2016 toyota tundra. The contact stated that the harness buckle failed to latch and could not hold the infant in place. The failure occurred in the vehicle whenever the child seat was used. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The purchase date was unknown.

Recently i believe i may have found a problem with the britax pavilion 70-g. This may be amanufacturing flaw of the rubber hugs chest pad after normal usage one of the pads has snapped into two pieces. We buckled our child into the carseat and noticed after tightening the shoulder straps the hug chest pad broke into two pieces. I believe the fact that the rubber hugs pad broke off withoutany forces like those which may happen in an emergency event gives me great concern about the reliability and safety of the product. I have sent email to britax reporting the issues and i am awaiting a response.
