The contact owns a 2014 britax frontier 90 booster seat, model number: ucs e9ly714. The seat was manufactured in april of 2015. The contact noticed that both front side head protectors detached from the seat. The contact took the seat back to the store, but it was not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The purchase date was unknown.

While loosening the 5-point harness straps on our britax frontier child restraint (a forward facing, harnessed combination seat), the shoulder strap for the child's left shoulder came off the harness splitter plate when the left side was tugged to loosen the straps. This was while the child restraint was installed with the vehicle seatbelt using the long belt path installation method in our 2005 toyota sienna after approx. 3 months of regular use. I was unable to replicate the problem upon uninstalling the child restraint, but i am aware of other frontier owners who have had the same issue when loosening the straps and who have been able to replicate it while installed in their vehicles or uninstalled. This poses a risk to a child should this occur during a crash scenario and warrants corrective action to prevent injury or worse. I have reported the issue to britax's customer service, and the customer service rep. Noted our seat's model, batch number, date of manufacture, and our contact info. On sept. 5, 2008. I felt it was appropriate to also bring the issue to nhtsa's attention as well in the event that the issue is recall-worthy.

I have britax frontier carseat and i have noticed cracks and stress marks along the bottom of the shell.

My daughter (5-years old, 40 lbs) was in a britax frontier car seat when we were struck by another car in the front driver's side.the car was then struck a second time and propelled into a telephone pole.the plastic piece holding the car seat tightly in place snapped during the accident, and though the car seat was still fastened by the latch system it could move freely.my daughter hit the dvd player in front of her seat.she has a concussion and multiple facial lacerations.the car seat completely failed to hold her in place in the accident.(related vehicle information: model year=2009, make=toyota, model=rav4).

The listed options in this form are limited and do not reflect the description accurately. Here is the actual complete info: britax, frontier clicktight ucs - e9ly76g - serial#e9ly76g003392, dom 02/2016. Installed with seatbelt and top tether, used in 5-point harness mode. Complaint: the harness buckle makes a rattling sound as if a part inside is loose. This is not something usual on all frontier seats. I personally have 3 of these and only this one rattles. I'm also a child passenger safety technician and work with these seats often - first time seeing this. Britax has also been notified. Here is a link to the video: https://youtu.be/pwzkszpuzag

The contact owns a britax frontier 90 safety seat, model number: e9lh34m. The seat was manufactured on january 1, 2014. The safety seat was being utilized in a 2012 subaru forester. The contact stated that the buckle between the leg that was fixed to the frame of the safety seat was frayed and torn. The manufacturer stated that it was normal wear and tear, and would not have affected the safety of the child seat. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue.

I recently purchased a britax frontier clicktight (model e9ly79s / serial # e9ly79s009926).after installing it, it became clear that the harness cannot be tightened properly to achieve a snug fit.i did some research online, and various amazon review indicate that this is a problem.the issue is that the harness can get pinched by the seat back on the car, as the harness strap is not protected behind the britax frontier.furthermore, the harness strap is routed around multiple turns, including a 130 degree turn immediately after it goes through the backrest, which causes significant friction on the harness (if you look at the back of a britax frontier, it will become clear).in any event, the britax frontier clearly has a design defect which prevents the harness from being secured snugly.this is a breach of the warranty of fitness for a particular use.i would implore you to inspect a britax frontier and test the ability of a parent to tighten the harness properly.i suspect you will also find it seriously lacking.*dt

The contact owns a britax frontier, model e9l54e7 child safety seat.the seat was manufactured on may 13, 2008.the contact stated that the left side of the harness strap failed.while driving with his child in the safety seat, the harness strap completely detached from the yolk.the failure occurred five times in one day.the manufacturer stated that they have not received any other complaints and nothing could be done.

Harness loosening on its own in a britax frontier 90 clicktight car seat.buckle the child in and adjust harness tightness to pass the pinch test at the collar bone.by the time child arrives at the destination, the harness is no longer tight on the child.this is happening on every ride.child cannot reach the adjustment button.britax claimed food was stuck in the harness adjuster button (there is no food there, my children do not eat in the vehicle).they replaced the harness was faulty and replaced the harness, splitter plate and harness strap.this did not fix the issue.old harness is available, old splitter plate and strap is not available.they do not want to investigate further on what is causing the problem even after seeing videos and discussion over the phone.they have offered for me to purchase another seat since the warranty on this one is expired (the seat is 3 years old, suppose to have a 9 year lifespan).the date inputted was the most recent date.the harness has been loosening for well over a year and witnessed by another cpst as well (i am also a cpst).britax frontier 90 - e9lh33pserial number: e9lh33p003024batch number: job0001232date of manufacturer: 08/2013

This is the second britax frontier seat we have owned.the left side of the harness strap failed, just like the first seat. While driving with my son in the safety seat, the left harness strap completely detached from the yoke. The failure occurred three times the morning of the 11th of july.britax continues to deny there are safety concerns with this seat.how many failures, injuries, or deaths does it take to issue a recall? britax refuses to issue a recall and refund my money. It appears the yoke can make contact with the bottom of the belt shield, allowing the yoke to jam, and the harness to detach from the yoke.
