The britax blvd car seat has a sticker on the side of it that clearly states not to place a child over 20 lbs rear facing at risk of severe injury or death. It states nothing about age.this sticker directly contradicts the instructions inside the manual that states a child can be rear facing up to over 30 lbs.

Britax car seat causes deep scratches and lacerations to legs of infact/toddler (my daughter).there have been multiple dates when this has happened since purchase of seat (the below date was the latest date of injury).we (the parents) have performed due diligence to ensure proper seat installment and child placement in the child seat, but still the problem persist.this problem does not occur with another car seat we have (graco) and we have seen this issue occur with another britax car seat (different type).thus, this leads us to conclude that there are basis of problems originate from the britax car seat.

I purchased a britaxboulevard carseat in july 2015.model number e9lt86a. Manufacture date was june 2015.recently my harness release button became stuck.i googled it to see what the problem was and found it was recalled over a year ago!i sent the registration card in the mail. I never received notification from britax!when i called they gave me unacceptable information!they neglected to input the country into their system which is why i didn't get a notice.unacceptable as they have all my other contact information!they inputted it incorrectly into the system.i called back again as i was not satisfied with the answer provided.the next representative stated my state was incorrect and i was sent an email and repair kit in the regular mail.who's telling the truth?she accused me of misplacing them.i find that hard to believe i misplaced both.she insinuated i was lying and placed the blame on me.howmany others weren't notified?this is unacceptable and why i registered the seat.

The contact owns a britax boulevard e9l57.there was a recall for the tether strap.the contact was told to put a sticker on the seat and no longer use the tether strap.the contact did not like the remedy for the recall.

On or about november 27, i found out on the internet that there was a recall on my britax boulevard (model no. E9l5769; date of manuf: 7/17/06). Why they call it a "recall" i have no idea. In fact, it is not a recall.their solution for an unsafe tether is to stop using it after 50 lbs. Although i had registered with britax when i purchased the car seat, i received no notification from them. I paid $300 plus for the boulevard because i was told that i could use it with the top tether up to 65 pounds. Now i am told that i can't use it after 50 lbs.additionally, when i called britax's recall information line the woman i spoke to informed me that my acura mdx has a weight limit on the tether which is 50 pounds. When i called acura to confirm this, they informed me that the information britax provided me with was inaccurate. That the 2006 acura mdx does not have a weight limit on the tether. I believe the list britax was looking at when i was given the 40 lbs limit information was outdated!i called britax back and informed them of this and their customer service representatives (the same one i spoke to initially) solution was to speak to her supervisor. She refused to give me her name. So i called him [xxx] and left a message with the supervisor but i doubt i will hear back. I find britax's customer service and solution totally unacceptable. I do not care about getting money back, i just want to keep my son safe. Why can't britax send a new tether set or replace the seats? it is not my fault or my son's fault that britax did not properly create this car seat. We should not have to suffer for their mistakes. Please do something about this.if any more information is needed please do not hesitate to contact me.thank you, [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 70 mph on a normal highway, the child restrained in the forward facing child seat installed in the back, was able to unlatch the shoulder strap becoming totally loose.as the incident was easily repeated, the manufacturer was contacted who determined the solution was to educate the child to not unlatch the strap.the contact was very concerned because the child safety seat was a 2006 design and many children could be fatally affected by the defect.

I recently purchased a britax boulevard child seat, and a few weeks after i received this recall notice. I called britax asking if they are going to fix the seat so i will be able to use the seat after my son reaches 50 lbs they said yes but without the tether. In my profession as a firefighter i have seen children injured because the tether was not in use. I would like britax to fix my seat or replace it with a new one that works correctly. I do not need them to send me stickers, that does not fix the problem. Below is the recall notice.what??s wrong during product evaluation, britax determined that under certain circumstances the top tether hook may open or break and release from the tether anchor. This situation has only been demonstrated with the child restraint installed forward facing, using the top tether attachment, with a test dummy simulating a child weighing greater than 50 lbs. If the top tether hook were to break, in the event of a crash, the child restraint may move from the upright position to a reclined position. With this condition, there is the increased risk of injury to the child. What you should do all consumers are being instructed to discontinue use of the top tether once the child??s weight reaches 50 lbs. Enclosed are two labels. The first is to be placed in the boulevard users guide in section entitled, installation versa-tether, page 21. The other label should be placed on the boulevard tether adjuster. The labels are designed to remind you and other caregivers to discontinue use of the top tether assembly once the child's weight exceeds 50 lbs. You may continue to use the top tether assembly in the rear-facing installations for all recommended weight ranges; as well you may also continue to use the top tether assembly in forward-facing installations for children until their weight reaches 50 lbs
