My 25 month old son is able to loosen the restraint straps on the car seat by lifting the latch and leaning forward on the straps. He can loosen the straps so much that he can lean over sideways out of the seat. Therefore, rendering the seat ineffective in restraining the child in the event of an accident. I contacted britax regarding this and their only remedy was to suggest that i have a police officer speak with my son regarding not doing this.
