The warning label on the inside of my britax chaperone infant carseat began to detach from the fabric, with some shredding of the warning label.i found 2 to 3 inch long shreds of the label in my daughter's hands when she was sitting in the seat.i removed the label completely from the seat to remove the choking hazard.

On the base of the car seat is two rubber strips, one running along each side. One of these long, narrow strips has come loose. When the seat is placed in the base this strip can get caught in the locking mechanism cause the seat to not lock correctly in the base and the seat is not secure on one side. Britax is sending me replacement strips to see if that fixes the issue.

Dear sir/madamwe purchased britax rear facing infant carrier in the may 2011 for our child. The car seat is immensely uncomfortable for our child. The following items are of great concern to us: 1. In the purchase it is not mentioned up front that the buckle positioning needs to be changed once the child reaches 11 lbs.it is highly inconvenient to do so.in fact we took to safety stop at children?s hospital in st louis for a safety check.the car technician (nurse sue hagan) also pointed out thatthe car strap was inverted- this is a factory defect in the car seat.2. The webbing of the strap is too thick.it will not let the belt pass through the buckle to fix the inverted defect.3. Overall the car seat has been very disappointing. It is very uncomfortable to the child, defective and subject to recall.the serial # e9l69p2204120/batch# p000014176/model #e9l69p2and a part of the recall. We are not happy with the car seat, the customer service for it .we actually bought a second car seat since it was getting impossible to use britax chaperone. Our child is very comfortable in the second car seat and does not cry in it.we request you to please register our complaint.best regardsvandana and laxmichand.(related vehicle information: model year=2010, make=chaperone, model=e9l69p2).
