I have a britax boulevard child restraint that has been in use approximately a year.when inspecting the seat, i noticed the harness adjuster has frayed significantly on one side to the point where it will need to be replaced.since this part is typically located under the seat, i had no way to know the damage was occurring until i removed the seat and happened to look.since this strap is part of what holds my child in in a crash, this is a safety concern because i'm certain it weakens the strap.

The contact owns a britax boulevard (e9l57j9 03/19/2008). While driving, the contact noticed while her son was in the child seat he hit his chin on the rear drivers side door. The child pulled a lever which was located in between the child's legs thatassists in loosing the straps. The lever was accessible for the child to pull on and loosen the strap. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested a learners kit to instruct the child not to pull the lever. The contact stated the child seat would not be used and it was replaced.
