The contact owns a britax frontier child seat, model e9l54h6.the seat was manufactured on may 29, 2008.the contact received a recall notice regarding the britax safety seat.the remedy consisted of informing the consumers to check the back of the yoke to make sure that it was secured in place.the replacement part would not be shipped out until january of 2009.the contact feels that it is unsafe to have a child riding in the safety seat and having to check the yoke each time.he further stated that it was not guaranteed that the yoke would not fail and cause the harness straps to become detached in the event of a crash.nhtsa campaign id number 08c010000 (child seat: harness) was referenced.the child is 3 years old and 32 pounds.the manufacturer stated that until the part is shipped in january, the consumer has to check the yoke each time the child is placed in the safety seat.the contact has purchased a new safety seat.the purchase date was unknown.
