Britax roundabout gets stuck in recline position. It takes a ridiculous amount of force to free it from the recline position, and even that doesn't always work.
Called britax for information on a seat from 2002, they would not provide any information with regard to recalls as the seat was expired. A lot of people use expired seats due to financial problems. If this seat has an issue that could be corrected, a child would be safer with this seat than no seat at all!
When operating a child seat at times the harness buckle will not snap shut.

Consumer stated that child seat buckle broke. First, consumer could not get it to click in.but when she did, then it would not come loose.the child had to actually climb out of the seat because she could not get it toundo.
Strap rubs child's neck, they are too close together.
Latch wouldn't catch on britax seat.

Car seat base cracked without incident.nothing in particular happened, i just noticed a significant crack.
Consumer tookchild seat to a checkpoint. The forward facing child had a lock off that failed to retain the shoulder belt. It would not hold securely, and would loosen every time after several tries. Seat belt assembly was switched to the automatic locking retractor mode to secure seat belt on child seat.
Owner is having difficulty with a britax roundabout child safety seat. The straps used to secure the child is not holding or locking the child in position. Owner has contacted the manufacturer who says that for a small fee they would send the owner a new strap. The car seat is only 1.5 years old.provide further details.
When operating child restraint the safety strap will not stay fastened.
