I have a britax chaperone infant seat. Upon removing the cover i realized the foam on the inside of the seat had detached. There was very little glue holding the foam on the seat and it had "un-stuck". I contacted britax to see if i could hot glue the foam back on. I also asked if their carseats should be inspected at certain intervals to make sure this wasn't happening to them all. They ignored that question and said the seat was unsafe to use now that the foam had popped off and the only solution was purchasing a new seat. My seat hadn't expired yet, and as a foster parent i use my seats for the full length of time and that is part of my purchase consideration. So, i questioned how they could be ok with their seats not lasting that long. Then they told me to just glue the foam back on it will be fine. So, i do not know the correct answer to gluing or not gluing the foam. I am also unsure if foam could be popping off other seats. I never would have known my seat was damaged if i hadn't removed the cover to clean it. So, if this is a regular thing what would have happened in an accident with that foam dislodged and no way to know.

The harness strap(s) detach from the yoke when the harness is loosened.
