I have received recall repair kits for britax clicktight convertible recall 15c-003.i have 2 seats under this recall.one kit arrived with no lubricant (the envelope was cut open) and the other one was sealed but the packet of lubricant was ruptured and the lubricant leaked all over the letter and none left in the packet to use.

We purchased a britax pinnacle clicktight (model: e9lz14p) car seat on 11/19/15.serial number: e9lz14p005962; batch number: job0013521; manufactured: 05/15.on the evening of 12/28/15, my family with my 3 year old son in the car seat drove to our local grocery store.upon arriving in the parking lot and stopping the vehicle, we released the restraints on the car seat.upon releasing the harness buckle, the buckle simply fell away and dropped free onto the car seat.the harness buckle was no longer attached to the car seat.upon examination, i found that the stitching on the web strap which secures the harness buckle to the car seat had failed.the web strap feeds through the harness buckle and is then stitched to itself.the stitching on the web strap just came apart.as the car seat was unusable, i drove the vehicle home and drove our second vehicle back to the store, so that i could safely bring my son home.to say that my wife and i were a little disturbed is an understatement, having driven over 50 hours in the prior month at highway speeds traveling to see family in pa.my son was not hurt or otherwise injured as a result of the harness buckle failure, but i felt that i should report it to nhtsa.the next day (as britax customer service is only available limited daylight hours) 12/29/15, i contacted britax customer service by calling their toll-free number (888-427-4829) and spoke to a young woman named [xxx] (?).i explained the situation, gave all the information about the car seat and even e-mailed pictures.she offered to either replace the harness buckle or the car seat.after discussion, my wife and i will be requesting a new car seat.please feel free to call me at [xxx] (cell) day or night to discuss.i would be happy to send copies of the pictures as well.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a britax boulevard clicktight child safety seat, model number: e9lt85s. The seat was manufactured in june of 2015. The contact stated that the harness strap became loosened independently when the child was placed in the child seat. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15c003000 (child seat) and also received lubrication to apply to the lever that tightened the straps; however, the contact still experienced failure with the harness strap. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informed that a new replacement safety seat would be provided. The purchase date was unknown.

Carseat harness straps no longer lock - they just slide looser and looser, failing to restrain the child.i had previously applied lubricant after a recall and the straps worked well for 15 months then began to fail.when my daughter leans forward, the straps loosen even when fastened.

This car seat is completely unsafe. One shoulder strap ends up much tighter than the other. Doesn't apear to be related to the recall problem. Britax has not gotten back to me in 3 weeks. One shoulder strap is super tight the other way loose. I take seat out, get them aligned, one trip later same same thing happens. Unusable!

We purchase my son this car seat about six months ago, shortly later it was a part of a recall. The harness straps weren't staying tightened in some of the models. We weren't having the issue but registered and received the repair kit anyways. I held onto the repair kit in case we would need it. Sure enough now a few months into owning the seat we have experienced the self loosening harness straps. Even with the application of the lube to repair the seat it isn't performing correctly and continues to self loosen. We've contacted the company and are being give a replacement seat, however, i feel it's important to make notice that the repair kits aren't repairing the seats. This is the britax boulervard click tight car seat

I have a britax boulevard clicktight. The straps are tightening unevenly and the click n safe component is not functioning properly. I called britax and they sent me a replacement seat.

Removed padding to find one hip strap of the harness completely off the yoke and the end of the metal yoke bent.

I have a britax boulevard car seat, manufactured march 2017. I have been using it for approximately one month - that is all. The shoulder harness strap just came completely detached when i was removing my daughter from the carseat. The harness strap had become detached from the yoke at the back of the seat. Clearly this is concerning since it would not have restrained my daughter properly had we have been in a car accident.what's more upsetting - the britax frontier was recalled in 2008 for this very same reason. This is a serious safety hazard, made even more egregious because of the fact that it appears it was an issue 10 years ago that has still not been resolved. I spoke with a britax representative and they told me that the strap came detached because i wasn't pulling on the straps in a uniform manner. I pull on the straps using the chest clip (which i explained), so i'm not quite sure how exactly i need to be releasing the straps to keep them attached (also, heaven forbid my toddler daughter move at all while i have the release button depressed, because then she might also move one strap more than the other, causing it to detach completely). The representative was very dismissive, even though this has clearly been an issue in the past. I just believe this is a very serious design/manufacturing defect with the britax boulevard.

Britax boulevard clicktight harness straps uneven when tightening. The straps on the shoulders are not tight on one side. This is the second seat i have received from britax because of the uneven and untightened strap. This leaves my child with a loose harness on one side and a tight harness on the other. Britax has apologized and said they would replace the seat again.

Britax boulevard clicktight manufactured 2015, serial number e1a135q003725 no longer reliably restrains child. Britax has a recall for this issue. I have contacted britax, received and applied their "remedy" and the problem persists. My child's restraint is coming loose unpredictably when the child leans forward, while traveling, when the seat was restrained properly at the beginning of the trip. Child is not doing anything to loosen the restraint, restraint is failing and britax has not investigated the cause. A quick review of their facebook page demonstrates others have the same problem, unresolved by their remedy kit. This is dangerous. Seat restraints fail approximately 50% of the time. *

Cpsc: purchased britax boulevard clicktight convertible car seat.the harness straps do not tighten well, leaving child at risk for serious injury or death if involvedin an accident. This particular car seat uses ratcheting (aka "click & safe") to tighten the over theshoulder harness, which doesn't work well and leads the caregiver to assume the straps are astight as they can go despite leaving about a 3-4 inch gap between the straps and the child.*dt *dt
