Handle of car seat fell off while carrying w/child buckled into car seat.
The contact owns a 2013 baby trend expedition travel system (na), model number: tj94773. The seat was manufactured on march 10, 2012. The safety seat was being utilized in a 2003 bmw 3 series. After both rear latches were connected, the rear passenger side latch fractured. The failure occurred inside the vehicle. The child was not in the safety seat at the time of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. ......updated 07/26/16
Hi i have already tried to contact the baby trend company. The model carseat i have, has a red piping line right where my baby's head rests in the car seat. This causes a large red line/mark across the back of my baby's head. After i already told her that the infant insert no longer fits my baby, the company responded to my email that i should "use the headrest insert if uncomfortable" . My baby is now 4 months old. This car seat is supposed to fit up to a 30 lb baby. A 30 lb baby can not fit his head in an infant head rest which is why it is removable. This cover on the car seat is very uncomfortable for my baby and leaves a red mark on his head every time we have to use this carseat.
