Level indicator not working properly on car seat. Only one side is showing level while the other side says it is not level.*dt

Hello, i have purchased a baby trend stroller with car seat/base and i have had both of the items for 5 months and the seat belt straps for the car seat are half way ripped. I examined the carseat straps and did not know what it could be but when i moved the strap for where it is connected with the clips the clips have sharp ridges that have been ripping the straps and in caseof an accident my child will not be protected this item is very dangerous and i do not feel safe putting my 5 old month baby in the seat. I will like to get contacted to see what i can do in thiscase to either get my money back for the car seat or get replaced with one that it is trust worthy this item is a rip off and it definitely scared me being that i am a new parent and need to watch out for the brand baby trend that does not guarantee the safety of my baby. *dt

When installing this seat i had trouble getting both levels to match up. Would get a tight install and everything could look good except one of the angle indicators would be off. This is now the second time i have ran across this issue with a babytrend car seat.

Myself as well as another instructor had a difficult time getting the levels to match on the car seat. We could get a tight install but one of the level indicators would always be off. Finally after wiggling the seat around was able to get them both level.

The contact owns a baby trend ez ride 35 travel system, model number: ts40b29b (na). The system was manufactured on march 8, 2018. The contact attempted to separate the safety seat from the base of the seat, but was unsuccessful. The contact took the travel system to a local safety seat inspection station for assistance; however, they were also unable to separate the seat from its base. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. *dt
