Infant seat stuck to base. The seat would not release from the base on the left side and then would get stuck and not click back into the base. This creates a safety hazard as the seat is not secure to the base. This happened several times on 1/10/2009. The seat then got into a final stuck position and was not able to be removed from the base at all. Also, the carrying handle sticks in the carrying position and will not release to be put into the down position for traveling, creating a hazard for baby while riding.

When trying to put my 4 month old son in his car seat the piece that connects the straps across the chest snapped.

I purchased the ez flex-loc infant car seat from burlington coatfactory. The seat was fine and functioned well until my 10 month old son was able to pull the stitching open and stuff his mouth with the stuffing inside. This was very dangerous and had we been on a longer ride he might have choked without us ever knowing it. I would like to not only inform you of this but to know if there have been any other complaints about this issue? please let me know as soon as possible. I have contacted baby trend and was basically ignored.

We received the car seat and stroller combo as a gift. Purchased new from target in may of 2012. Our son was born on june 21, and which time we began using the seat. After attempting to secure the seat, on july 4th 2012, the right side would not engage the base properly. After looking into the issue, i discovered the "zip tie" looking strap and disengages the lock was getting stuck and not allowing it to lock into the base. It appears to be a very "cheap" design. Also see "made in china" on most identifications tags. I tried to contact the company via telephone only to get a recording saying they were closed.

Baby trend model cs41945 infant car seat - i saw a post on fb regarding this car seat, the exact same one i use for my daughter, it was a video showing the chest harness lock and how easily it can unlock with just a wiggle. I don't believe everything i read on the internet so i decided to check it out for myself. Sure enough with just a little wiggle it became unlocked!! it didn't happen every time i wiggled it but one time is all it takes for serious injury to occur to any child! i was appalled to learn that baby trend is not doing anything to rectify this situation! something need to be done and fast!

Child moved in seat (fully and properly secured in) and the chest latch/buckle came undone, also has been undone when adult put slight pressure on it. The child could slip out during crash if chest piece not buckled together. Contacted company said that the chest piece isn't important and is made to come undone like that but will also send replacement piece.asked for refund and they said i would have to talk with the store not their company.

At a car seat check, i installed a baby trend flexloc base into the mother's vehicle without problems.i installed a 2nd flexloc base in grandma's vehicle.both bases had the adjustable foot all the way out.in grandma's vehicle, center rear seat, when i put pressure on the seatbelt, the push button for the adjustable foot would slip from the 4th position into the 3rd position with a loud bang.then it would continue to bend as if to slip out and into the 2nd position.we also tried installing the base in an outboard position in the vehicle with the same results.i use (approximately) the same force when installing all bases or car seats and have not had this problem in the past.model number for the defective base was cb63100, date of manufacture 6/1/11.the one in the mother's car (not defective) was ts25400, 3/10/11.vehicle was an infiniti 2002 without latch (made oct 2001).i recommended not using the base until it is replaced.base was placed in the trunk of grandma's car.

The harness adjuster buttonon my daughter's baby trend flex loc infant car seat came off while she was in it and when we took her out of the car she had a small spring in her hand that she was chewing on that had come out with the button.there should have been 2 springs, but we only found one.i can only hope it fell out of the seat somewhere.i contacted baby trend and they assured me that the carseat was still safe to use and that they would send me out a replacement button to install.i was impressed by their reaction and offer to send out a replacement right away.this complaint is not about the company, but a concern about the product. I am concerned that this could happen again and that a child may die from this obvious choking hazard.

Chest clip broke making the child seat a 3 point in harness instead of 5 point harness, while we were out. Had to but a new car seat to replace it, just to make it home. Called the manufacturer who said that it was ok as a 3 point harness and children seats do not need be 5 point. Putting children at risk for a defective problem is something to be taken seriously also product liability is a public safety issue hopefully this complaint is not ignored like the gm issue, so i will print this page out prior to submitting, in case nothing is done.

This incident is regarding a baby trend flex-loc infant car seat model # cs31068 manufactured in 1/04/2010 serial # cs 31 1086 sb 000264i noticed on 1/18/2011 that the carseat was not latching onto the carseat base correctly. After inspecting the carseat, i noticed that one of the rubber skid strips on the bottom of the carseat had slid half way out of place and was preventing the carseat from latching on correctly. I don't know how long this had been going on since i didn't notice it right away. I just happened to turn around in the car for something else and noticed the carseat latched only on one side. I have already had to remove one rubber skid strip shortly after the purchase of the car seat because it was not staying in place.

I used my infant car seat on my way to the store no problem latching into the base, when we got to the store i put his car seat in the large basket part of the car seat and did my shopping, when we returned to the car the car seat would not latch into the base. It was cold so i moved his car seat to the other side of the car and used the belt over the car seat in order to secure the car seat safely for the drive home. Once home i looked at the car seat after putting my son in his bed and realised one of the clips that make it latch was stuck inside of the infant car seat. It would not come out. The company said this was only covered by a repair and they do not replace their car seats if i wanted a replacement i needed to take it to the store i bought it from. The store doesnt accept returns after 90 days andit was bought in october. Its now janurary. My son is only a month old so this car seat has only been used for a month and the product broke.

One of the white plastic locks on the car seat will not lock onto the base.

I asked a few people i knew that had the same brand infant car seat as me if they also had this problem and after checking their car seats they realized theirs did the same thing. I afraid if this problem is not corrected the lives of many children could be shortened.

The little white plastic part, that latches on the head part of the car seat broke off when i tried to remove it from the base. And later the same day the harness snap that connects over the chest broke while i was snapping it... No force was used either time.

When going to remove my 9 month old daughter from her car seat, i realized she had undone her top harness. She does not know how to press the button, either. I tried to figure out how she had done this, and i easily pulled the buckle apart. I have also gone into stores to check out the other car seats just to make sure i did not have a defected one, and i was able to easily wiggle the top harness buckle apart on every single baby trend car seat. I have contacted baby's r us and baby trend . . . I am hoping to get this complaint across to the correct person because this is a serious safety hazard and something needs to be done.

Carseat handle release button is very difficult to press in order to change positions of the handle, the base doesn't work well with our seats because the pedal to make it taller isn't long enough. We've tried using pillows, pool noodles, towels, etc. Under it but it still doesn't help. It seems to always be loose or unlevel. I feel as though it is very dangerous to use this carseat because in a crash it would not be in the correct position to absorb the impact.

Cpsc: we purchased a babytrend car seat at babies r us (serial # cv883267ff, model # cv88a46c) inaugust 2016 for our then-9-month-old. Https://www.babytrend.com/protect-elite-convertiblecar-seat-sweet-pea-cv88a46c *dt *dtthe chest buckle on this carseat cracked and then broke into two pieces after 2 years of regular use (a covertible car seat should last for at least 4 years). No accidents or stress to the seat of any sort. The company refused to apologize or express that they would report the issue to their internal quality control. They just kept asking me for the same information over and over, even after i had provided them with the confirmation they sent me immediately after i registered the product upon purchasing it. After 3 terse e-mails from their customer service from their customer service rep. That included no assurances, they stopped communicating and simply sent me a buckle. No note. No instructions. Just a buckle in an envelope. I saw commercially and my husband is an engineer, and we both agree that consumers are not meant to disassemble the seat (ripping glue, cutting the strapand removing stitches) to swap the buckle. It is not a replaceable part! i never wanted a replacement or any kind of compensation. I just wanted them to look into the defective buckle so that someone else's baby doesn't die if/when their defective buckle gives out in an accident. No vin available
