Cpsc: i1390091a. Baby trend inertia. Consumer stated when she tried to install the seat the handle was frozen and the seat could not be adjusted. *lnthe manufacturer sent the consumer another car seat. After using it for four weeks, the insert, that connected to the chest clip broke.
Chest clip broke while fastening my child into her seat. The seat isn't even two months old yet. I wasn't forcing it at all either. Just a simple snap together which resulted in the left side of the clip to break.
Yesterday(12/11/13) i was putting my son into his car seat,when i went to fasten his chest clip together it didn't "click",which i thought was odd. After i looked at it i discovered it had a crack it , as i was examining itcomplete fell apart! the manufacturer will sent me a replacement chest clip.

Chest strap broke when buckling child. Has never been in accident nor sustained damage. Contacted manufacturer and they are sending a replacement.

The contact owns a baby trend safety seat, model: inertia infant cs58138 n/a, and manufactured in 5/2/2013. The contact stated that while strapping the child occupant in the safety seat, the chest clip buckle fractured. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The safety seat was not replaced.

The contact owns a baby trend inertia rear facing child seat, model number cs58743, manufactured in january 28, 2013. The contact stated that the chest strap and buckle fractured preventing her from securing the baby properly. The contact mentioned that the failure had occurred twice and the manufacturer had provided replacements. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The child seat was not replaced.
