I purchased an new baby trend ally car seat in july 2020. It is the type that you remove from the base which is left installed in the car. The car seat once put in the base, gets stuck. The lever to release it from the base can't be pressed. If there was an accident and my baby had to be removed from the car quickly (fire etc) her car seat would be stuck. I have contacted the company numerous times regarding the issue and they trouble shoot but offer no solution to the problem. The fact that it gets stuck also makes me question how it would perform in a crash. This is not safe. *dt*dt

The contact owns a 2017 baby trend alley 35 child safety seat, model number: tj75b72b. The seat was manufactured on december 25, 2017. The safety seat was being utilized in a 2016 nissan sentra. The contact stated that the graphic was inaccurate on page 42 (figure 42-1) of the owner's manual. The graphic showed the seat belt drawn around the seat instead of passing through the safety seat belt path. The contact also stated that the instructions needed to be re-worded on the second bullet on page 42, to state that the lap belt needed to be changed to shoulder belt. The dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.
