My son's baby trends fastback forward facing car seatmodel # fb60070 side impact foam broke away from the seat itself on the right hand side and is beginning break on the left hand side as well.the car seat was not in a crash.i have no idea how this was created or it there was a material defect from the beginning. The manufacture date was 12/11/2011 and was purchased at toys r us last september 2012.i was instructed by local car seat program administer to contact you.i have also contacted baby trends too.
The contact owns a baby trend rigid latch-loc child seat, model 6481.the seat was manufactured on september 26, 2007.the contact called the baby trend manufacturer and was informed that based on the build date of her child seat, it was not affected by the recall.however, the child seat build date falls under the date stated in the recall notice.the manufacturer is refusing to repair the seat.nhtsa campaign id number 08c008000 (child seat:base (infant)) was referenced.the purchase date, recall number, failure type, and secured in the vehicle method were unknown.
