The contact owns a baby trend flex loc child seat, model number 6381.when the contact pulls on the handle to release it from the base, it sticks on one side and does not release.the release lever has failed. Updated 03-18-08 updated 03/18/08

While my son was riding in his infant rear facing car seat the back of his head was cut (sept. 2008).when we contacted the baby trend company about this issue they offered us a new shell for the seat.when we recieved it it had less padding than the one previously.it again cut the back of my sons head (jan. 2009).

Contacted baby trend on oct. 23, 2008 in regards to a fraying crotch strap on my baby trend flex-loc infant car seat model #6381-that was purchased on june 11, 2008 from target.com.

Baby trend flex lock lever did not release seat from base.when pulling on release lever in front it did not pull both sides back inside.husband had to use a little extra effort to get the seat off of the base. Plastic piece easily broke off, and now we cannot use base any longer (so it takes 5 minutes to buckle her in now instead of 30 seconds) and also gets stuck on when using with baby trend sit'n'stand stroller.called baby trend twice and they want me to send them the car seat first, so they can fix it, but will not replace my car seat, reimburse me for the new one (they say i must buy so my baby has a seat), or nor will they give me a loaner.they say their policy is no refunds or exchanges, even though their warranty says "baby trend, inc. Will at its option, repair or replace product determined to be defective."the catch is they get to determine whether it is defective. They do not stand by their product and do not care about babies. The car seat was purchased in august. My baby was born in august, and it is only november.if we were in an accident i am wondering if the plastic piece would have broken this easily then as well.
