The contact owns a 2007 (na) baby trend rearfacing infant seat, model number 6363.the seat was manufactured on march 21, 2007.the contact's child is 4 months old and weighs approximately 14 lbs.the contact stated that the button that is supposed to enable the harness to adjust is inoperative.since ownership of the seat, she has been unable to successfully attach the harness buckle because the strap is not long enough.when the contact presses the button, it does not make any noises; therefore, she assumes that it does not work properly.as a result, the child cannot sit in the seat safely.the manufacturer attempted to verbally assist the contact with adjusting the seat, but was unsuccessful.she also attempted to follow the instructions listed on the seat.the contact still has possession of the child safety seat, which is located on the rear passenger side of her 2002 bmw 530.
