Discharged a 5lb 8oz baby from the hospital in a new angelguard car bed. The buckle portion of the harness is too short and too rigid to be buckled comfortably. Parent of the child stated that when the harness was buckled child was making gurgling noises and was bubbling at the mouth. They came back for assistance, and as a cpst i did not feel comfortable using the angelguard. Comparing the harness from the old manufacturer to the harness from the new manufacturer there are significant sizing problems on the new harness. The yoke is shorter and more narrow which makes it much smaller and unusable for even the smallest of infants. Excessive stitching where the buckle tongues attach to the harness make the harness to rigid and inflexible at the baby's neck. The limits of this car bed are up to 9 lbs and 21.5 inches. If this new harness will not fit the neck circumference of a 5.5 lb infant, there is no way that it will accommodate a larger infant. *dt
